Ban’walungu.
Did you know that:
Van’walungu (N’walungo) refers to people of the northern wind, N’wahungu.
They come from the north (present-day Zimbabwe) and credit their creation to the Supreme God of the Heavens, Gulukhulu (Nungunkulu, Ngungungulu, Nkulunkulu), the first being of life and the source of all existence, what we today call the universe (matutu). Rather than the sun, they recognize Gwambe (Creator) as the universe itself. This is the belief held by the northerners, Balenge. Thus, they are called Ba n’wana lungu — people of the first creation — the northerners of the cosmos.
