Did you know that:
Vaxika refers to people who descend from the mountains.
They are natives of the Drakensberg Escarpment (Nkwatlamba). However, they were unable to sustain their growing population, so the Ngomani (Nkomane) violently led them back into the lowlands. Thus, they are called Ba yehla hi nyimpi — people who come down with hostility — the mighty highlanders of the plains.
